To bear burdens; To build bridges;

To break chains; To bring hope."

Strategic Directions

* Connecting to God

* Living & Doing Justice

* Equipping for Mission

We are the Southeast Michigan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). As one of 65 regional bodies of the ELCA, the SE MI Synod empowers, supports, and serves its 128 area congregations and their members.

The Southeast Michigan Synod is one people created by God, redeemed by Christ, and sustained by the Holy Spirit. We are a diverse part of a changing global community called to witness and serve in response to God’s love.
